Merry Christmas! We hope you are all enjoying a great 2006 holiday season with family and friends.
Dang, what a difference a year makes! I was thinking back to this time last year and all the many ways that Xander has changed since then. He is walking, talking, dancing, running, singing, laughing, and even biting.
I look at him and wonder what happened to Mommy’s little baby? He is everything a little BOY could be and more! He likes to wrestle, and play rough! He makes the cutest “VROOM” noises when he plays with his “trucks” (any vehicle, whether it is a car, truck, bicycle, or motorcycle is considered a TRUCK to him). Talk about all-terrain vehicles, he loves to drive his “trucks” all over your body and his body too. But our favorite game to play right now, next to throwing a ball, is when Mommy acts like she is gonna give Xander a shoulder massage. I lightly squeeze his shoulders and he melts to the floor in laughter. He is so ticklish I don’t even have to touch him and he starts to giggle. I tell ya, that giggle is the best sound I’ve ever heard!
I absolutely love the growth that is visible from one week to the next. It is soooooo exciting to be a part of his ever-changing world!
I dare to wonder what he will be like this time next year!
While we were in Texas this week, Xander got together with his cousins for a group photo.
These guys are adorable!

“Chicken Little” would like to wish everyone a safe and Happy Halloween! :0)
-Happy Birthday to our favorite twins Rachel and Rita too.
Xander had his first taste of dog treats today!
Rita was teaching Xander how to reward our dog, Ben, by giving him a treat. After giving Ben a few, Xander decided he wanted one himself. Rachel and I saw it coming, but Rita was looking at us when it happened. We hollered from across the room and they both looked at us like, “What?”.
It was bound to happen, I guess. Although, I always thought he’d sample the cat food first.
I can’t believe my little boy is ONE today. While a lot has happened this past year, it has flown by quickly!
Xander is doing well. He’s finally accepted a sippy cup after a dozen attempts with different brands, types, and varieties. He has four teeth, two on top and two on the bottom. He loves to clap, and give high-fives. And he assumes all small animals make the same noise as a dog. When he sees a cat or dog he says, “Huff, Huff, Huff” (or something to that affect). He’s on his feet alot but holding on to things when walking. He lets go for brief periods, and is on the verge of taking off.

We’d like to wish a Happy, Happy Birthday to all of the June babies:
Xander - June 12th
Marqui - June 17th
Paula - June 18th
Alissa - June 19th
Corey - June 19th
Joe - June 28th
Mark - June 29th
…And many moooooooore!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mamas out there! I really enjoyed my first Mother’s Day, despite Xander’s sinus infection and my sleep deprivation. We had a great day. Rita took Rachel, Xander and I out for a nice lunch. It turns out Xander gave us a gift that keeps on giving, in the form of his sinus infection, so we all went to bed early.
Xander attended his first baseball game tonight. Rachel and I took him to see the Albuquerque Isotopes. We met our friends Joe and Victor there. Our team lost, but we had a lot of fun. Xander spent more time flirting with the girls around us than watching the game. He was entertaining our entire section. There’s this new thing he does with sticking his tongue out at people and laughing at the same time. It is hilarious!
Rachel and Xander before the game:

Xander celebrated his first Easter today. We had a great time in the park, and playing with our basket of goodies at home.
He loves his Spiderman egg. Take a look at those teeth too!
